And now back to the regular fare. This was more or less an outlet for me to direct a lot of old anger towards.
Everybody knows the parasite. Perhaps you know a couple of him, he seems to be around a lot more nowadays. He's the one wearing that pretty mask, with a mouth that shoots out nothing but pretty words. He's that just-too-smooth flavour of the month who just couldn't be guilty of anything. That lovely woman on his arm, see, she may be the top-billing for him, but by no means the exclusive. A sly wink or a phone call can get you in as well, no questions asked. Don't worry, she'll never know. 'Cause he's got all the right moves. He holds all the cards and pulls all the strings. And all you old-fashioned holier-thans with all of your fairy-tale talk of loyalty and respect, well don't blame him... He just can't help himself. See, it's a problem of his. Think you could help him out of it? He'd just love for you to try.
Thanks again boss... The full story surrounding this is one of those that more or less provides a quick shot of self-worth because you'll always know that you're not the person involved. I often think how someone would look with every mark on their soul displayed on their face. I was attempting to capture that here.
AHHHHHH that is so gross!! but so cool...*wrinkles her nose* hehe looky Kupo! Give the nice man from Bat country a cookie... good Kupo. 'Tis a grand drawing my crazy little friend with no name mua hahahahaha I'll see ya round hehehe.
I remember visiting your gallery ages ago, and I popped by again. I do not regret doing so.
The theme of the piece of emptiness, I think: there is an empty hunger in the figure's eyes, mouth, expression, posture. The use of sharp and insectoid shapes moves the superficially human face into the realm of a creature; the lines around the face produce a shocking effect with their motion.
Your explanation is precise and powerful. Yes, I do know this man. All too well.
Hey thanks a lot! I haven't been around here much lately so I just read your message. I can't seem to get away from drawing in this style, it's therapeutic in a way. Glad you got something out of it.
Yeah, I'm sure everybody knows someone like my 'inspiration'. What pisses me off is that no matter how much they just completely stink like hollow frauds from the first minute you meet them, they always manage to get their hooks into people who genuinely don't deserve it.
