So this is a flyer for the little project I was working on for a chunk of last year. It's an upright arcade cabinet I called the Retrovault. It was built to look just like any regular classic-style cabinet you'd spot in a 7-11 at some point in the 80's. In all it took about a month and a half to put together and get running once I had all the parts. Be sure to admire my absolutely awesome wiring job on the buttons and sticks. (Hey, it works.) I've got to say that it's pretty cool to play games on controls you put together yourself. Since it's been running me and the housemates have been uh, testing it thoroughly. The artwork for the marquee and frontend I made in Photoshop.
Thanks go to Cousin Jay, Jeeves, Sarah, Al, Mark, Jeff, and Dave for help with the construction, or for lending me your expensive tools for me to use incompetently and break. Also thanks to Lusid for his plans and everyone on the BYOAC forums for their great advice on everything imaginable related to planning something like this. And especially thanks to the guys responsible for writing MAME who made this whole weird hobby possible.
